East wind melts the ice

Still chilly, but plum buds are swelling. 

Risshun is the first of 24 solar terms in  traditional East Asian cultures and one of the 72 microseasons in the ancient Japanese calendar. It marks the beginning of spring, even though it still feels like winter.
