In Nara. Chilly day. Early morning walk, then work. Thinking and writing. But mostly thinking.
The room is empty. Just a futon, low table and a cushion.
Four small openings in the Shoji screen. Outside, a miniature garden -- a patch of gravel, really, enclosed with... another bamboo screen. Nothing to distract me if I don’t connect to the internet (have only been mildly successful).
Good place to slow down for a few days, empty your thoughts of clutter, just stay with yourself.
I feel thankful for that time and space.
